Looking back over our 2013 Wedding Season we had a fantastic year. So we thought we would celebrate  with a post to review some of our favorite images from this year in weddings! Below we have compiled some of our favorite photos from these beautiful weddings.  Going through and reviewing all of these images really makes us remember why we love what we do so much. We are so grateful for all of our amazing couples and getting the opportunity to document their story. It’s truly an honor and we were so happy to be part of their special day!

Let’s start with the wedding gowns!

Formal portraits are also very important.  We love taking candids throughout the day but formals are great keepsakes for many couples and their families. ME Photo & Design Weddings: Best of 2013 ME Photo & Design Weddings: Best of 2013 ME Photo & Design Weddings: Best of 2013

Amy and Jimmy are one of our 2013 couples and they had such a great wedding!  We really enjoyed being there to capture their special day which celebrated their Irish Catholic heritage.  They were married at St. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Conshohocken, PA.  Their gorgeous reception was held at The William Penn Inn in Gwynedd, PA where Amy found some awesome Irish themed details to go with the decor.  They were such a fun couple and we wish them all the best in the future! Take a look at their wedding. Yes to the Dress! | Bryn’s Wedding Planning

This is all you’re getting for now! I have to keep it a secret, right? As non traditional as I am turning out to be in this wedding planning process, I do think that the wedding dress is one thing that needs to remain a surprise until that day. Clearly I love lace and have decided to incorporate it in my wedding in a pretty big way…even down to my bridesmaids. Sorry guys!

I was definitely one of those crazy teenage girls that had a wedding notebook with dresses clipped out of the bridal magazines I subscribed to. Yes, I did that too. I had literally everything planned. I knew where I wanted my wedding, what I wanted to look like, and what I wanted to wear. Let me just say, this dress is NOTHING like what I had planned for. I used to want the fairy tale wedding, you know…the kind with the cinderella dress and candles and flowers. So the dress I picked out during that time was entirely too puffy and bedazzled for what I currently love. It is pretty ironic now, as I look back on it, how completely different my wedding is turning out to be. We are having a Backyard BBQ Wedding and I am wearing a simple lace dress. Cray cray.

The choosing of “the dress” turned out to be very untraditional and fairly anticlimactic for me. I have heard it SO many times, “NEVER EVER EVER buy a dress online without trying it on first.” Well I broke that rule, and I am so happy I did! I found my dress as I was browsing one of my favorite designers online and I knew it was the dress I wanted without even trying it on. I didn’t have the experience of going into the bridal salon and parading around in dress after dress as your friends and family look at you and tell you how much they love or hate what you are wearing. I do kind of regret that part of my planning process however; it is kind of like the ultimate dress up party that you always would love to be the star of. However, being as indecisive and nit picky as I am, I am so proud of myself for finding one and sticking to it without even trying it on first!

I still have SO much to do, but things are definitely falling into place one at a time! Today my “The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner” app is telling me that I have 134 days to go. As crazy and overwhelming as that sounds at the moment, knowing what I have left to do, I am more excited to be a bride and marry Mr. Walters =) #walterswedding
